This kit will be to benefit Project Ultrasound (http://projectultrasound.org). Project Ultrasound is a non-profit organization which has been formed for the purpose of raising awareness about the effectiveness of ultrasound machines in deterring abortions, and raising funds to provide ultrasound machines to crisis pregnancy centers nationwide. This is a charity near and dear to Susan's heart and something she would LOVE to be able to raise a lot of money to support. Release date: TBA

1. How long have you been with Simply Sweet Gals?
I've been with SSG since January of 2009.

2. Tell us about yourself
I'm currently a stay at home mom of two (one adopted and one foster -- soon to be adopted, we hope) and I have a wonderful hubby who works very hard to take care of us and enables me to stay at home with our kids. We just moved into a new house (new to us -- we found a great deal on a foreclosure and are working very hard to get it whipped into shape and in a few years hope to turn a profit on it). In my spare time, I enjoy digital scrapping, reading, and sleeping. These days my spare time is limited, thanks to the aforementioned "whipping the house in shape" stuff that fills our to-do list, but I still try to find time to do some digital scrapping for the creative teams that I'm on.

3. What inspires you
My best work is inspired by magazines (all types, not just scrapbooking) and I enjoy grabbing inspiration from other digital scrappers when I look through the galleries online, as well.

4. Name 5 things that you do when not scrapbooking

Reading (Christian Fiction mostly), Surf the Internet, Clean house (oooh, my favorite...haha), do things with my church, write on my blog (http://alwaysfaith.blogspot.com/)

5. Favorite Simply Susan Godfrey kit

It's hard to choose, but I think my favorite was Lil Cowpoke Complete Kit. The Summer Sweetness Kit was my favorite in the Mini Kits.

I got my groove back - RIP Fluffy

Well, I got my groove back along side my turtle computer but I am kicking out my CT layouts first and then start scrapping more layouts using my January kits. But before I showcase various designers I have  some bad news Fluffy - Bean's cat past away of old age. She was a great pet to Uncle Jet,IE, and Bean.

This kit is dedicated to 2 special women in my life, my Mother-In-Law and my Aunt. Both of whom are named Jan Marie and both of whom went to be with the Lord much earlier than I would have liked.

It is estimated that 192,370 women will be diagnosed with and 40,170 women will die of cancer of the breast in 2009. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with cancer of the breast during their lifetime. These are scary statistics. My own mother is a breast cancer survivor, so I know first hand what a family goes through when this disease strikes. This is why it’s SO important to do monthly self-check breast exams and be diligent about reporting in unusual changes to you doctor, because not all breast cancers produce lumps in the breast. My Mom’s breast cancer was called Inflammatory Breast Cancer, and the only sign was a rash on her breast that would not go away. So don't forget to do you monthly breast exams and get "squished" yearly (Mammogram)!

This kit is dedicated to my Mom, Kathy McNiel, as well as all the other survivors and those suffering through this disease.
