Family Time

Well, I got a hold of a bunch of pictures, Dee's Summer pictures. I didn't download all 317 pictures but I have a bunch. Here is my first layout out of her collection of pictures! I put a blue tint on the picture... I was trying something new.. it looks cute!

The Wisdom of Hot Chocolate

A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at

a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired.

During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives.

Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a

large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups — porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking,

some expensive, some exquisite. He then told them all to help themselves to the hot chocolate.

When they each had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said:

"Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.

While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress."

"The cup that you're drinking from adds nothing to the quality of the hot chocolate.

In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink."

"What all of you really wanted was hot chocolate, not the cup

... but you consciously went for the BEST cups."

"And then you began eyeing each other's cups."

"Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate; your job, money and position in society are the cups.

They are just tools to hold and contain life."

Now for my sanity... I am happy now compared to my last post. I was able to contact 4shared and they were a bunch of help. I picked up and extra day at another job!

Another Tumber layout

Well this is one of Savvy's Cats ... I forgot her name. Kit used is by Pillowgirl at My Scrap Shop!

I am upset! Why does this happen?

I just need to get this off my chest. I've created 4 quick pages using Donna Phillips - Ice Cream Kit. I offered it as blog freebie here at Scrapin'Faye. Oh course, I have Donna's permission to post the Quick Pages as blog freebies, plus I am on her Creative Team. I am excieted that to this date there are 600+ downloads. The most downloads I've had for any of my blog freebies. I just hope that the quick pages generated sales for Donna.

Last night, as I was posting new layouts and checking on my freebie download counts I notice that someone has loaded the 4 quick pages as seperate files in the png format. I am upset and angry that all my work in creating those pages, others like to take that happy feeling away. I am so pissed. I've wrote to her to remove them and emailed 4shared to see if they can flag her or remove them for me. What I think is sad is that I am not even the designer and I am angry and upset.
